Diaper
Size: three
Clothing
Size: 18 months
Eating
Schedule: bottles
every 3-4 hours during the day, followed by 1.5-2 tablespoons of oatmeal for
breakfast, a fruit for lunch, and a meat with a vegetable for dinner.
Cries
when: tired or
when he’s bored and ready to start a new activity
Milestones: Calvin isn’t sitting up
completely on his own yet, but he’s getting close! He can do it with support
and reaches for his toys while sitting. His pediatrician isn’t surprised due to
his size (he’s huge!), as he has a lot of height and weight to support.
Calvin
experienced lots of “firsts” this past month. We took our first family road
trip in the beginning of the month to attend my cousin Tim and his wife,
Katherine’s, baby shower and to also attend my cousin Jennifer’s son’s (my
Godson) first holy communion. Calvin did great on the road and slept great in
the hotel!
We also
took our first trip to the beach to celebrate Mother’s Day. I’ve been dying to
get to the beach since Calvin has been born and this was the perfect
opportunity. Calvin did great, although the water was a little cool for his
liking. He definitely likes the temperature of his bath water better! He had
just about the same reaction when we took him to a swimming pool for the first
time just a few weeks later. We had to ease him in, but eventually got
comfortable about waist-deep.
I found
a park about 5 minutes from our house that has a great playground and swings. I
took Calvin for the first time and he loves swinging! We go just about every
day J
Calvin
was also invited to his first birthday party. It was for a little boy of a
coworker of Tim’s who was turning one. I think Calvin was a little too
intrigued by the smash cake at the end!
Calvin
also started drinking from a sippy cup this month! He’s practicing the action
of cup to mouth more than actually drinking, but he’s doing great as time goes
on.
