Favorite Food: Cheerios

Milestones:
-Camden is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on anything he can get his hands on!
-first trip to the beach...finally!
-first taste of an ice cream cone :)

Favorite Food: Cheerios

Milestones:
-We have a crawler! Camden crawled for the first time about 2 weeks ago while watching big brother at gymnastics class.
-Camden has become more vocal and now says, "dada," "mama," "baba," and "naynay."
-Camden started clapping his hands :)
-Camden experienced his first hurricane. 
Living in Florida for over 20 years, Tim and I are accustomed to "hurricane season," and what that all entails. Tim actually was a child living in Miami during Hurricane Andrew, and I've been through a few big ones myself (none nearly as devastating as Andrew, though). As a kid, a hurricane meant no school and puddles to jump in afterward. As an adult, it meant no work and hurricane parties. Now, as parents, these storms take on a whole new meaning and obvious set of responsibilities. This past week we got the scare of a lifetime when it was looking as though a Category 5 Hurricane Irma was heading our way. The storm didn't reach us until Sunday, but water, fuel, and other supplies were depleted when I made my first trip to Costco on Tuesday. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the week relentlessly preparing for the storm. We seriously considered evacuating Wednesday and Thursday, but that was when the storm started to weaken and we made the decision to stay. We live in a home built just 4 years ago that meets all current hurricane codes and we have a full set of hurricane shutters for every window and door. By the time the storm made it to Tampa, it had weakened to a Category 1, which was a huge relief. The wind was intense and the rain heavy, but we survived with a minor roof leak. We didn't even lose electricity. The boys slept through the entire thing and I'm shocked Lexi did too!
We are so lucky to have been spared what could have been catastrophic damage to our home and so incredibly grateful that we are all safe!

Eating Schedule: Camden drinks 4, 9 oz. bottles per day (he doesn't always finish them all). He's taking 2 big naps a day. He's down for the night between 7:30-8:00pm. He sleeps until 6:45-7:15am.

Milestones:
-Camden's not crawling yet, but he's close! He scoots backward like a pro, and is always on all fours rocking back and forth. I can't wait for him to finally take off!
-We went to the park and Camden went in the swing for the first time. I'm not sure he loved it, but I don't think he hated it.
-Camden said his first word! Just like his big brother, "dada," was his first :)

Clothing Size: 12 month

Cries when: tired or hungry

Eating Schedule: Camden drinks 4, 9 oz. bottles per day (he doesn't always finish them all). He's taking 2 big naps a day and has slowly transitioned out of his catnap around dinner time. He's down for the night at 8:00pm. He sleeps until 6:45-7:15am.

Milestones:
-Camden is officially a sitter :). He'll sometimes lose his balance and fall over, but he's pretty much got it down.
-He's also scooting a ton, trying so hard to crawl. He's not there yet, but something tells me he'll be on the move pretty soon!

6 months!

June 2017

Weight: 18 lbs. 2 oz.

Height: 26 inches (my guesstimate was a little off last month!)

Clothing Size: 12 month

Cries when: tired or hungry

Eating Schedule: every 3-4.5 hours during the day depending on how his naps fall. He's taking 2 big naps a day with one small catnap around dinner time. Camden goes down for the night at 8:00pm. He sleeps until 6:45-7:15am.

Milestones:
-Camden loves to roll, scoot and jump! He's definitely a wiggle worm :)
-he started solid foods and has been doing great! So far he loves everything he's tried: oatmeal, bananas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, prunes, and yogurt.
-Camden has started sitting up on his own for short periods (his longest was about 15 seconds)
-still LOVES eating his fists and fingers
-Camden went into a pool for the first time on Father's Day :)

May 2017

Clothing Size: 9 and 12 month!

Cries when: tired or hungry

Eating Schedule: every 3-4.5 hours during the day depending on how his naps fall. He's taking 2 big naps a day with one small catnap around dinner time. Camden goes down for the night around 8:00pm and daddy wakes him for a dream feeding at 10:30pm. He sleeps until 6:45-7:15am.

Milestones:
-we have a roller! Camden loves rolling from his back to front, but he goes both ways :)
-he found his feet and is obsessed with them!
-he likes "standing" in his new (to him) walker and exersaucer.
-still LOVES eating his fists
-still loves to splash in the bathtub
-he's super vocal and has even started fake coughing...it's super cute and really funny!
-he's completely in love with his big brother. He watches everything he does and thinks Calvin is so funny. Except for when he roars like a dinosaur extremely loud. Then he's scared to death and cries. But other than that, he loves him! Haha!

Clothing Size: 6 month, some 9 month too!

Cries when: tired or hungry

Eating Schedule: every 2.5-3.5 hours during the day. Camden goes down for the night between 8:00-8:30 and I wake him for a dream feeding around 10:30pm. He sleeps until 6:45-7:15am.

Milestones:
-grasps toys and holds them for a short period
-great head control, likes to be on his elbows during tummy time
-still LOVES eating his fists
-lifts his butt up
-loves to splash in the bathtub
-he's super vocal and found his "scream" this month
-officially moved into his room full-time and sleeps in his crib for all naps and bedtime 
-he's SO close to rolling over. He tries so hard to roll from back to front, but his left arm always gets in the way!
